I’ll likely never be the most consistent of bloggers, but I’m compulsive about keeping up with other blogs… I treat my RSS feeds much like my emails: everything gets read and digested.

So, if you can’t get your digital satisfaction from here, I would highly recommend a checking out a few of the below:

Seth Godin – pithy, and only occasionally annoyingly trite, this is marketing-speak for non-marketing folk

Letters of Note – quite simply the occasional (maybe 3 a week) letter that, for whatever reason, might be noteworthy. From historical or cultural insights, to simple feelgood or WTF moments, the letter collection is brilliantly curated.

THX THX THX – I really like daily or semi-regular doses of whatever I might choose to read, on this one you simply have Leah finding creative ways to say ‘thank you’ for something on a post-it note, each and every day. It looks surprisingly therapeutic, and is a good daily ‘feel-good’ moment.

Hipster Runoff – ridiculous and irreverent, ‘Carles’ makes sharp satire about the music and entertainment industry. Pity his victims. The link gives a good indication of the (enjoyable) normal level of crassness, and is part of his ongoing search for the ‘perfect alt titties’

XKCD – This changed my view and opinion of online comics. Brilliant. Geeky. Brilliant.

In an effort to make those resolutions a little more permanent, I’m making them public domain, and hence enforceable by little more than embarrassment.

Make More Lists – this is a start

Make an acoustic EP by the end of March 2010

Run another IKTOMS event at the end of March / start of April

Play a set of my own material once a month

Go to a gig on the old IKTOMS scene once a month (starting with TABARNAK, The Great Indoors, We Love…, MNYC, Folkadot, BAOBABS etc)

Give an album its ‘proper listen’ once a month (sitting down with an appropriate beverage and doing nothing but listen and sip)

Keep reading (I’m on a book a week right now, and loving it)

Write more – I wrote a few pieces for the Rockfeedback end of year and end of decade articles, and really enjoyed it. Plus, as you well know, the world needs my opinions.

Drink less. Smoke not.

And some more I’m sure, but I’ll be happy if I make the above happen. It helps that most of them are fun, and it’d be a sad failing indeed if I can;t make myself do things I actually want to do.

So – let me know if I’m failing!
